President George W. Bush spent this Veterans Day honoring injured soldiers.
On Friday afternoon, the Dallas resident posted a photo of himself on Instagram painting one of the 98 portraits of wounded warriors he's gotten to know over the years.

Very good! Sweet thing to do while he stays away from politics.
But I think, based on Ws actions, we see that he respects and honors those he sent to battle [no matter what you thought of the war].
How kind of Mr. Bush. Those are quite competent paintings. I’m sure they make the subjects and their families very happy.

Speaking as an artist myself, George isn’t bad. He needs to do less outlining of features (eyes, for example) and paint the underlying shapes and forms. Some directional lighting and resultant shadows would also help.
I like him - voted for him twice. Maybe I could give him some free tips in exchange for his explaining to me why he would stand by and allow Clinton to be elected, when to do so means the future of the Supreme Court, among other things, too numerous to outline here.

I have a problem with a guy who sends our young men off to fight in a war yet didn’t defend the mission by calling those who are lying about the underlying intelligence and the mission liars. It is dirty and crude, but fighting is dirty and crude. When he was needed he wasn’t there. This is before and after he was President.
I have other problems with him as well.
