Please, need help with Windows 7 Favorites. The Favorites folders are there but all are empty of their contents. Ran CCleaner, Malwarebytes and Avira a couple days ago and manually deleted the address drop down. Don't know of anything else that could have messed it up. Just did a restore at an earlier date but the file contents are still missing. I made two new files just now but they won't accept contents.
Thanks.
Try F5 to refresh.
Close and reopen File Manager.
CCleaner has a setting to clear your favorites. Did you have that checked? It’s possible you deleted your favorites.
I’ve done that once before, but I had a backup.
Are you SURE you’re not logged in as another user than your normal self? I assume you checked but similar questions have been answered with that .... so .... log out and back in if you haven’t already .... good luck!
doooh you have a virus?
— should have used PC-Matic!
Now with “Favorite Folder Protection”.
Look in your Trash folder; if it’s there, right-click to ‘restore’.
I’m the only one.
All the many Favorites files are showing but each one is empty. Such as my Political file is there but when I click on it, it’s empty. The are no links to anything. No FR saves. No nothing.
what are “windows 7 favorites”?
As with most Windoze problems, the proper solution is to switch to Linux.
other than your normal self
LMAO
YES!!!!!!!!!
Thank you. A million times, thank you!
The link worked. Writing that down to save in case it happens again.
Thanks, thanks, thanks.
Somebody here tipped me off to CCleaner.
Keeps things running fast plus keeps the registry in order.
Love it.
I’m never normal.
Restore from your backup drive? (Providing you do perform backups..) You should be able to go back far enough to find your files prior to deletion.
My 2 Sense...
Thanks, problem was solved from a link above. All is well with the world.
My wife deletes the wrong stuff frequently.
Luckily Windows has the System Restore utility that almost always fixes it.
I’m certain it’s still your fault. :-)
Bookmarks.
I was chuckling as I typed ... it’s a hard one to phrase esp when single finger typing on Android phone ...
