There was a thread about an Arkansas state rep switching parties that erroneously made it sound like it was a Federal Rep (which are all Republican in Ark already).
It must have gotten pulled cause I don’t see it.
Anyway, it’s the 2nd party switch in the Ark House since the election and it’s significant because Ark oddly and utterly ridiculously has a 75% Supermajority requirement to pass most appropriators bills. GOP now has 75 out of 100 in the House, but still 1 shy of 3/4s in the Senate. This stupid provision needs to be changed so Arkansas can cut spending.
Neither if these dems, David Hillman and Jeff Wardlow that switched even had GOP opponents recently.
