hanks to some last minute work in the state legislature, South Carolina now has a coyote bounty program.
Though Governor Nikki Haley originally vetoed the South Carolina coyote bounty bill after it passed the House and Senate, lawmakers made some minor modifications to the bill and overrode her veto.

Thanks for the info...pretty sure the missing cats are due to the Coyote...all at night.. the other creatures are scarce hereabouts., although we have a red tail or two hanging around the lake.

Owls. Dozens of them in just our few square blocks. All the hooting and screeching at night is amazing. Owls sure do screech and squabble with one another. I think they are territorial. They don't like to share trees with one another.
I believe it is the stupidest thing i have ever heard of, if they want to get rid of the coyotes why not just kill them when they have them captured?
It is just a sport to pacify those wanna be big game hunters.
Besides, coyotes are not all bad, they do get rid of cats.
