I am for the Cubs, but even though off topic, I’d like to ask Clevelanders what they think of this news bit I heard about. It would seem that in several places in Cleveland, Trump poll watchers have been told to stay away from the polling place because ‘no one here will be voting for Trump anyway’. Not kidding. Have any Clevelanders heard about this?

I wouldn’t doubt it at all.

I’m taking my one hour training tomorrow morning and assigned to a southern, fairly nice suburb of Cleveland. You mean from early voting places this is happening? It actually didn’t occur to me that there was poll watching for early voting.

Why is a “buckeye” not rooting for Cleveland??

Poll watchers in places like this can prevent poll workers voting for many people who haven’t shown up (the dead?). One vote per person is ok, but not all the extra votes that sometimes happen in one-party Dem districts.
