Walpole Police share photo of vodka gathered during trick or treating
A 6-year-old came home with a small bottle of vodka among the candy gathered during Halloween, according to Walpole Police.
Walpole Police wrote on their Facebook page that the youngster was trick-or-treating on Haynes and Vine streets. Her grandmother noticed the apple flavored vodka in her treat bag when she got home.
Following the discovery, police were urging parents to check their children's candy bags and contact the police if they received similar items.
Families in the neighborhood were in a bit of shock because they say they know their neighbors.
"I cant believe someone would do that," said Walpole resident, Ann-Marie Hockman. "Has everyone gone crazy or what?"
Hockman told necn that she's glad everything her two boys got was safe.
"It's just sad they get so excited about Halloween," she said.
BFD - it’s for Dad
Wow. These people are really freakin out. It’s a 2 oz bottle of vodka. They act like it was a hand grenade.
C’mon - there was no chaser.
People over-react about everything, and it’s rubbed off on the criminal justice system. People that don’t hurt anyone, destroy anything, or sell drugs end up doing years in prison over nonsense.
ROFL!!!
Even if the kid had drunk it, he/she would have just fallen asleep on 2 ounces
The police actually went door to door warning people about this!
“Trick or TooT?!
Was it at least top shelf?
Most popular house on the block.
Not if it was apple flavoured!
Oh thank God it wasn’t a doobie!
35 years ago, I got candy cigarettes when I went Trick-or-Treating. The media would be getting the vapors over that today.
Kid would have spit it out immediately as it would have burned at 1st touch.
Walpole Massachusetts what do you expect.
Trick or Drink - it’s an old custom...
The kid must have been Trick-or-Treating in the Kennedy’s neighborhood.
Wow. I’d have laughed in their faces and said they got 3 seconds to GTFO my porch or I will consider them to be trespassing.
I suspect a hoax. Those little bottles are a couple of bucks each. That would get expensive fast. Also, do you think that not one person would notice it as it is being handed out?
