According to CNN contributor Hugh Hewitt, (no friend of Donald Trump) the Obama Justice Department denied the FBI’s request for a grand jury pertaining to an investigation into the Clinton Foundation:
The Lynch can’t be trusted. She needs to resign. She’s too corrupt.

What is unclear by HH’s tweet is: are we talking about Lynch blocking the previous investigation - or this NEW investigation? If it is the previous, then yes this is old news.
However, if LL is blocking this NEW investigation, then we are talking about a serious constitutional crisis - expect fireworks...

IMO - the fact that BO came out “publicly supporting” Comey means that he is in the middle of it - “obstructing privately”...
Comey needs to up the ante and public a statement that he is requesting a grand jury or special prosecutor and put Lynch back on the defensive.

Of course she is. She wouldn't have gotten the job if she wasn't willing to ‘bend some rules’ for what their side thinks is the ‘common good’. I'm sure there is a large element of rationalization (’what I'm doing is OK because the ends are so important). Someone had posted an Alinsky quote earlier, saying essentially that corruption should be used politically. That post pointed this out as a potential basis for Hillary's willingness to lie and do whatever it takes to achieve what she wants politically. That is a great observation, and as an Alinsky devotee, this certainly may contribute to her actions.
Shame on the Republicans for confirming her.

Had a Grand Jury been empaneled from the outset, Comey doesn’t need to make the damning news conference in July. It removes the necessity of having to lay out your case, and it filters the politics out of it.
Mukasey (Bush AG) made this point last night. Lynch is a hapless oaf, and now because of her piss-poor decision-making, its biting Hillary’s considerable ass at the worst possible moment for her.
It’s a delight to watch.
