I can see it happeneing.

When I was in the navy, we used to light farts to amuse one another when standing sonar watch got boring. Of course, we did it though our dungarees, not bare skin.

It produced a very colorful mushroom cloud of natural gas flame, without damaging the sailor. It never failed to crack everybody up.

Yeah, standing watch was usually pretty boring.
