What’s worse than getting seriously burned during surgery? Having the whole world know it was caused by your farting. Please leave this poor woman alone.

If the hospital had a soul, they would tell her someone in the room spilled hot coffee on her, settle with her, and let her go on with life never knowing.
Care for the -whole- patient.

She suffered serious burns but is thought to have survived the incident. They don't even know if she lived?
Now, that's a fart!

OR fires are actually a serious issue. A lot of steps are taken to prevent them.
I’ll bet The Joint Commission will develop a new standard on bowel gas release that will add to your hospital bill.

They probably had some malfunctioning oxygen equipment in the operating room that caused the fire, but blamed the woman’s farting to avoid responsibility.

"They don't even know if she lived? Now, that's a fart!" Nobody's been able to go back in that operating room yet to check.

Hospital Operating rooms have higher oxygen count, low moisture, dry cotton sheets...
I can see it happeneing.
But I think I would not tell the whole world- just say the sheets caught on fire from the laser.
Unless they were too busy laughing to put out the fire.
It was both tragic and hil-larious at the same time.

Wow. This should come from the News of the Weird source. NEVER have I heard of this sort of thing happening. When I was in the navy, we used to light farts to amuse one another when standing sonar watch got boring. Of course, we did it though our dungarees, not bare skin.
It produced a very colorful mushroom cloud of natural gas flame, without damaging the sailor. It never failed to crack everybody up.
Yeah, standing watch was usually pretty boring.
