Enviros Hope Global Warming Will Increase Voter Turnout To DEFEAT Trump

Environmental activists are really hoping, sarcastically or not, higher-than-normal temperatures increase voter turnout to defeat Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Daniel Weiss, the former head of campaigns for the League of Conservation Voters (LCV), said it would be “poetic justice” if Trump and other Republicans skeptical of global warming were defeated by global warming-induced high voter turnout. LCV endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in November 2015 and has spent more than $6 million on ads in support of the former secretary of state.

LCV has spent more than $922,000 on ads opposing Trump, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Yeah, if it’s four one-hundredths of a degree warmer, that will surely increase the turnout. /s

Can’t fault the AGW zealots for that. I took a look at the long range weather models hoping it be a rainy day in Philly, Miami, and Detroit. Looks like nice weather :(

I fault the AGW zealots for everything - perpetuating a hoax being one of many issues I have with them.

Indeed. They are not “hard science” scientists or even students of science and they do not have capacity for deductive logic but the worst thing is they all seem to have an external locus of control therefore they will follow the most bullying of idiots, or charismatic psychopath and all will be good.

Most of the rest of us are deductive thinkers and have strong internal loci of control. That makes a huge difference as data more closely rules our lives and minds.

I was a quintessential math-sci nerd; I garnered multiple awards in both.

I cannot tell you how much I have become unimpressed by - and indifferent to - so-called experts in the various scientific fields.

They are mostly leftists, and mostly activists. Objective reasoning is no longer in vogue.

Most officially-designated scientists today are merely technicians. Some of them are very good at specifically-defined tasks, but they do not have the mentality of a true scientist. They are selectively skeptical, and lack the enlightened intuition of a real scientist (e.g., August Kekule or Albert Einstein).

They focus on models instead of reality, and they choose their studies based upon political issues and subsidy likelihood, not upon genuinely scientific criteria.

I have a saying:

There are four kinds of lies: lies, damn lies, statistics, and scientific studies.

Well... Isn’t the fertility going down even in the poorest countries in the world... Wouldn’t that make the projected population growth be an overstatement?

I just saw a National Geographic Channel promo for—of all people—Jack Black wandering around Miami telling people it will all be under water soon due to global warming.

I guess he also tells them they can stop it as long as they vote for Hillary, but I’m NOT going to watch to find out.

Anyway, old Jack has a very scraggily beard with a lot of grey/white hair.

He looks more like Michael Moore than himself.

Florida is decomposing. Not just sea level, but when you remove water from the ground, the soil gets aerated and bacteria eat the soil using the oxygen. It’s complicated, but Florida is sinking.
