We seek to become a part of the permanent progressive infrastructure to last beyond the 2008 election. Breaking through the clutter of the modern media environment with a progressive message requires repetition of common themes from different sources organized by a central apparatus--that is the organizing task of Progressive Media.

Yeah. It makes you wonder why they even bother making a pretense of independence. They don’t have to, do they? They could publicly say, “Yes, we are joined together. Maybe we word things the same sometimes, maybe we don’t. Maybe we coordinate here and there, maybe we don’t. What are you going to do about it? Sue me!”
Or does that “flavor” of independence somehow make their message more potent or palatable. By “flavor” I mean remaining silent as to where the connections are.
A free press should allow for this collusion, and a *better* press can, and does, show these fools for who they are. Big league. Wikileaks, Breitbart, and more are coming forth. It is a sight to behold.
There *is* a huge problem, however, if government entities are favoring one or the other through tax law, bribes and the like. That’s where the IRS of late is, and ought to be, subject to major legal prosecution. No one has a vested interest in bigger government than the government itself.
everything progressive is funded by massive government debt in our fiat, unbacked currency, controlled by the Federal Reserve.
Kill it, and you kill the progressive movement.
They think they take money from big banks and the rich to give to the poor, but it actually goes right back to them or to people like the Clintons.
Agreed. It’s just that the next time I hear somebody claim “there’s no media bias” I have this evidence, it is undeniable. We all know it’s true - it’s just their arrogant denial that aggravates me.
Time to broadcast that 1984 Apple Commercial with Dear Leader Hillary’s face on the Big Screen saying “why aren’t I 50 points ahead” right before the sledgehammer breaks it.
Ping for later.
Remember “gravitas”? It was all the rage.
I like it :) Good idea.
That was the Journolist era after all.
DRAFT launch statement PROGRESSIVE MEDIA
Progressive Media will serve as a communications and messaging nerve center for the progressive movement. We will create a robust echo chamber with messaging that spans from independent groups, to progressive partisans, to grassroots organizers, to the netroots. We will align messaging across broadcast and cable TV, radio, print, Internet, single-issue and advocacy organizations, progressive media, surrogates and new media. Through Progressive Media, during the 2008 election campaign we will focus on showing the public where John McCain stands on key issues facing America and the world. We seek to become a part of the permanent progressive infrastructure to last beyond the 2008 election. Breaking through the clutter of the modern media environment with a progressive message requires repetition of common themes from different sources organized by a central apparatus--that is the organizing task of Progressive Media.

This reads like 1984. Except poor John forgot about the bloggers. The Bloggers: FR, reddit.com/The_Donald, Twitter, Facebook, and the conservative blogs.
Poor John. Whaling, Spearphishing, who knew? Who knew? What did Hillary say about basement dwelling Millennials.
Just like when you hear Rush Limbaugh play 16 news readers saying the exact same words (talking points) fed to them by centcom (central command)
Tom Matzzie is a MoveOn puke but he recently made a funny tweet:
For the Clinton conspiracy theorists out there, Anthony Weiner is proof that Hillary never had anybody killed.
