The worlds oldest woman has cracked the secret to her longevity: eggs.
Emma Morano, who will turn 117 on November 27, gobbles up at least two eggs a day, and has done so for 90 years for an egg-streme lifetime total she says is over 100,000.
Born in 1899, Morano, of Verbania, Italy began eating eggs religiously when she was 20 years old, after a doctor diagnosed her with anemia and told her to consume two raw eggs and a cooked one each day.

two raw eggs and a cooked one each day. Dang, I've been doing it backwards.

Low-carber here. Eggs every morning, egg whites in just about everything. Good stuff.

As a child growing up in the ‘50s, almost half of the World living at that time consisted of people born in the 19th Century. There were still a couple of Civil War vets alive at that time. Hard for me to fathom.

I’m a regular white bread guy. Sometimes dry white toast and sometimes butter and some jelly.

Last living person on Earth born in the 1800s. I remember my great-great-aunt who was born in 1894; she died in 1992. She was sharp as a tack til the end and used to marvel how wonderful it was to have lived before the Wright brothers and yet be able to see the moon landing and the space shuttles. RIP, Aunt Bea.
