Happy Halloween Eve all...
It’s a Halloween show with a unoriginal lineup, not complaining but we’ve been down these roads every Halloween...Gina will be happy to see the Great Gildersleeve in at Dragnet’s time...a Joy Boys skit will be hit or miss but nice to hear from Ed...Escape Three Skeleton Key (again)...Quite, Please with Fourble Board (again)...and War of the Worlds (again)...anyway, at least they’re classics...
Having a good weekend?

Reminds me of my youth...especially Saturday mornings when I'd tune in my favorite kids' shows like Smilin' Ed McConnel (with Froggy the Gremlin) and "No School Today" (while the Teddy Bears had their picnic}.
Seems like radio listening used your imagination....had to form your own mental pictures...later after tv came out these people didn't look like they sounded on the air. Ozzy & Harriet made the transition very well and were number one on my list all the way into Ricky's budding career.

Smilin' Ed...his show went on tv and was later taken over by "Jingles"(Andy Devine)

Hi, Vision! Happy Halloween Eve!
Yes, I see Murray stuck with tradition on this one, for once, but whatever.
How’s it going with you?

I think I'm going to buy a crazy expensive pellet grill when I can save up the funds. Ever used one?

Yes, we’re giving out candy. We’re having a few fiends—er, friends—over for a mini Halloween party. :-)
We’ve not used a pellet grill, but Keith said one of our friends has one. He knows more about it than me. The Green Eggs are also expensive and very efficient, too.

Snickers, Peanut M & Ms, Kit Kats and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I only buy candy I like, not the crummy stuff. :-)

Evening, all. Those ceramic-lined cookers are out of my price range at the moment. Come spring, I want to totally replace my grill gazebo. I've been repainting it, replacing the canvas top, and filling in the rusted out spots with JB Weld for years, but it's time to put the old boy down and put him to rest. The gas grill is ready for the glue factory, too. It's so old, we had it at the old house. The heat finally burned out the back of it and lava rock is spilling out onto the brickwork. Instead of getting some big four-burner unit, I want to get a smaller gas grill, and sit it side-by-side with one of those charcoal barrel grills with the small sidecar smoker and chimney. I've currently got a small, portable tailgate grill I picked up on clearance this month, and I've got two lemon-pepper thighs cooking for her, and a big Caribbean jerk-marinated breasts for me at the moment.
And nobody comes trick-or-treating down here at the end of this, old, dark, dead end road. It looks like a place where some Cajun hoodoo swamp thingy would pop out of the woods. When it gets foggy at night, it looks like the English moors in some old British Sherlock Holmes or 30's horror movie. Add a few howling coyotes in there, and it's a good night to keep the doors locked. LOL

Have you used a pellet grill?

No, but I've read where people swear by them. Supposedly burn long, hot, and even. You're supposed to get the benefit of a wood fire going with the set it and forget it convenience of a gas grill. But boy howdy, they can be expensive. Sheesh. I've priced a few. If you get one, give us a review. Am I correct that they run on electric?

Correct. They're very expensive to purchase and to run. Apparently the smoke flavor won't be as good as a stick burner or wsm but it's still good. What can I say, I'm willing to pay to be lazy (:
