Reminds me of my youth...especially Saturday mornings when I'd tune in my favorite kids' shows like Smilin' Ed McConnel (with Froggy the Gremlin) and "No School Today" (while the Teddy Bears had their picnic}.

Seems like radio listening used your imagination....had to form your own mental pictures...later after tv came out these people didn't look like they sounded on the air. Ozzy & Harriet made the transition very well and were number one on my list all the way into Ricky's budding career.

Smilin' Ed...his show went on tv and was later taken over by "Jingles"(Andy Devine)
