MIAMI (CBSMiami) Toxicology reports released Saturday in the death of Jose Fernandez have revealed that the star pitcher used drugs and alcohol just before crashing his boat off Miami Beach.
Fernandez and two friends, Emilio Macias, 27, and Eduardo Rivero, 25, died last month.
Reports show Fernandezs blood alcohol was at 0.147, nearly twice the legal limit, and he had cocaine and other substances in his system at the time of his death.
Both Macias and Rivero were found to be under the legal limit for alcohol. Though, Riveros blood showed cocaine and other substances, as well. Macias was determined to not have any cocaine in his system.
Its believed that the 24-year-old Fernandez was behind the wheel of the Kaught Looking, the 32-foot SeaVee he owned that crashed along a jetty near Government Cut on September 25th. Authorities, however, have not yet made this determination.
In a statement issued by Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez, the disclosure of the autopsy and toxicology reports for Fernandez, Macias and Rivero came after numerous requests and a battle for public release.

I guess he received a self-induced permanent ban from playing baseball.
SHOCKED!!!
Another victimless crime....unless you ask the families of the other two.
So much for the squeaky clean image. Tragic, really, when one considers the potential.
I KNOW I drove in my late teens and early 20s at that alcohol level and it was bad.
But I have to think cocaine made it infinitely worse.
AND OTHER SUBSTANCES TOO!!!!
What a F’n moron. F’ him.
Hope he suffered.
Cocaine + alcohol + boating at night + high speed fast boat = death
Jose Fernandez -the NL Rookie of the Year in 2013 - came to the United States by boat as a 15-year-old Cuban refugee in 2008. Along the way, he rescued his mother, who had fallen overboard.
However, his beloved grandmother, who Fernandez calls a baseball freak, was left behind.
Shes the love of my life... my everything, Fernandez said.
The day before winning the Rookie of the Year Award, a shocked Fernandez was reunited with his grandmother in Florida with help from Miami Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria.

hope he suffered?
Thats f’ed up..He was a yute.......lots of dough too much blow...You needed to get out more!!
Same here. I guess I’m lucky that i wasn’t caught but there were times I had 7 beers and still drove home. Funny that when I’m picking up someone and sober, that’s when the cops try to do the flashlight in the window thing.
So much for Jose F’s clean image and those tributes were too early to make..

'History!' Kaepernick wrote on Instagram Oct. 15 [2015], when he marked 50 years since the Black Panther Party was founded.
Kaepernick has posted 170 photos or videos on his Instagram account in the four years since he created it. Most of his first 128 posts were pics of him in football gear, publicity photos or shots taken with friends.
But 31 of his last 42 posts have strong social justice connotations, often featuring quotes from radical Nation of Islam leader Malcolm X, Black Panthers founder Huey Newton and cop killer Assata Shakur. [aka, JoAnne Chesimard]
During a Sunday news conference about the flag flap, Kaepernick dressed in a black hat with a large, white X and a T-shirt that featured photos of Cuban despot Fidel Castro and Malcolm X.

From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROES
"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo [the police].
Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.
The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."
To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

it is f’d up
What a horrible thing to say. It’s not as if killed an innocent bystander.
Suicide sucks.
Have everything. Give it all away.
Millions of dollars. Tons of talent.
Blow up your mind and life.
I have NO Sympathy. NONE.
Gotta agree with him. He had booze, coke and OTHER substances in him.
Just because he didn’t kill someone doesn’t mean he couldn’t have.
He could have wiped out a whole car of kids.
I’ve paid BRUTALLY for some of my sins through life. I dont deserve pity or sympathy and neither does he, to be frank.
Yeah, that’s about it. Is anyone surprised that a late-night fatal boating accident involved “substances”?
He may not deserve pity and all the tributes, but wishing he suffered? That’s royally messed up.
Sad, a talent wasted.
