Sounds like complete BS.
I haven’t seen it. But it is absurd.
It IS a lie/a complete and utter fabrication!
I wonder how many former ambassadors died of old age/natural causes during his tenure? Hey, the don’t even need to be American.
Yeah, it was like one or two for each of the 57 states...
Knowing it’s more Democrat Bullscoot. Somebody has distorted a distorted Democrat distortion of the truth.
Probably sourced the Garamandi response to the Republican investigation of the Benghazi debacle. It was typical Democrat BS, so why not figure some other Democrat made up another story based on that made up story.
According to Wikipedia eight ambassadors have been killed in the line of duty.
They’ve been saying that in one form or another ... it’s BS and intellectually dishonest.
None of the deaths were ambassadors, and none of the attacks were conducted after additional security was requested and rejected by the Secretary of State.
None died as the result of a terrorist attack on a US embassy
Challenge them to name them
There’s a bunch of misinformation, from distortions to outright lies, in that meme.
But the main difference between Bush and Obama/Hillary on the subject is:
- The latter COULD have done something about the attack but DIDN’T, and
- The latter LIED about what happened, a ridiculous yet coordinated story.
Does the State Dept have a memorial page?
I used to drive an old American Motors Ambassador. It died, but I can’t remember under whose administration. Seems like Jimmy Carter, but maybe it was Gerald Ford.
Goes along with those 100,000 civilians we killed in Iraq last time.
What video caused these deaths?
It is an absurd claim. We have one ambassador representing our nation in the capitals of about 125 nations. George W. Bush was president for eight years. Eight years is 96 months. The claim that 87 ambassadors were killed while Bush was president would mean that almost one ambassador was killed every month.
When I Bing’ed the claim, I saw the numbers of people killed in embassy bombings while Bush was president. Not all of those kill were Americans, and NONE of them was an ambassador. The number most touted was 60 killed. If my memory serves me well about two-thirds of those killed were citizens of the country who were in nearby restaurants and the attackers themselves. About another quarter were the citizens of other nations who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Are they counting natural deaths, former ambassadors, car accidents, and 9/11?
Utter nonsense. You can count the number of ambassadors that were murdered in the line of duty in the entirety of US history on your fingers.
Clinton era :
1998: 2 US embassies in Africa bombed
At least 200 people have been killed and more than 1,000 injured following explosions at United States embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
