Strange clouds forming above the Bermuda Triangle could explain why dozens of ships and planes have mysteriously vanished in the notorious patch of sea.
The remarkable new theory suggests the clouds are linked to 170-mph air bombs capable of bringing down planes and ships.
Now the riddle could finally be solved after meteorologists speaking to the Science Channels What on Earth? revealed their findings.

baloney! the only way them clouds look hexagonal is because of the re lines around them. take them away and you have gaps in the clouds like elsewhere....
....no sir, I saw an article about a week ago about a dog on FR that was really interesting!

Puh leaze.
The Bush jokes are WAYYY too old.
Bingo. One small correction: it's actually less than for many coasts. The Great Lakes, for example, have a much higher incidence of shipwreck.
Me too.

That shape is actually fairly common. For example, the storm over the “north poll” of Uranus is hexagonal. Also just look at a bee colony.
It’s a very effificnet shape and shoes up all the time in nature.

Sadly, I don't have a meme for effificnet.
First you mention the number of shipwrecks on the Great Lakes, then you post that picture so I must post a quote from a famous song that could refer to either: “ T’was the witch of November come stealin’ “.
There is nothing to be “solved”. Anyone who can do moderate research will discover valid reasons why most of these “disappearances” happened. And the so-called Bermuda Triangle is a pretty vast area, with most people accepting a field from the Azores through the Caribbean. It’s a pretty big area that encompasses a lot of air and sea mishaps.
Notice, too, that you don’t hear of these disappearances any longer. Only from years back when communications systems and search methods were antiquated and inadequate.

170-mph air bombs
Pepto Bismol helps with those
I was thinking of how snow flakes are 6 sided and given the high altitude of the clouds involved, and wondering if the hexagaonal lattice works are formed that way related to the frozen water in such high clouds.(huge snow flake effect?)
I also just recently heard about Uranus’s “hexagonal halo”...i wonder if water and wind are involved in its formation as well!
