Like clockwork, every September the entire tech world gets excited for the newest Apple device. The combination of a premium build, unmatched system performance, and tightly integrated software and services delivers whats considered to be the gold standard in smartphone user experience.
Over the past five years, Apples modem supplier was Qualcomm, but this year, Apple has taken a different approach with the decision to source two instead of one baseband chipset suppliers: Qualcomm and Intel. This created two distinct RF SKUs, one limited to GSM/WCDMA/LTE support (A1778, A1784), powered by Intels modem, and one with GSM/CDMA/WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/LTE support (A1660, A1661) powered by Qualcomms modem.

Uh, no. Skipped the rest. No tingle, no excitement. Carry on, then.
So you weren’t excited, but came in to tell everyone you aren’t excited? Seems kind of wasteful and inefficient.
Apple probably only sells Qualcomm equipped models to Democrats.
This stuff is interesting to look at, and extremely insidious. Apple is as liberal as the day is long, no doubt there, but Microsoft, on the other hand, takes all the money it can get from anyone, and gives big chunks to the Ford Foundation and the Soros Open Society Foundations which...between them gave $100 million to...Black Lives Matter just this past August. $100 million. If I am not mistaken
I think it is perfectly appropriate to skewer Apple for their liberalism, but anyone who thinks Microsoft is in any way, shape, form, or fashion better, is fooling themselves.
I haven’t looked, but it might even be possible the greedy Apple is keeping more of its profits for itself, rather than giving them in larger amounts to causes like The Ford Foundation (pikers with only $10 billion to hand out to places like Planned Parenthood, BLM, etc), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation ($27 Billion worth there to give money to people like the Occupy movement and BLM) or the Soros Open Society organizations.
Just food for thought.
Yep.
Seems kind of wasteful and inefficient.
Pointing out over-the-top hyperbole is never wasteful nor inefficient. Thinking freely is always liberating.
Have a great Apple-regulated day. ;-)
We would probably call you a “sea gull poster” then.
By the way, I wasn’t picking on your comment per se, I thought it was a pretty funny one...just pointing out that these things are all intertwined.

Thanks. iPhone 7+ on order. Got in on the $649 rebate on the last day.
LOL. There’s a blast from the past. Haven’t read that here for seems like years.
Good information Swordmaker -— thanks for posting.
You don’t see Microsoft being promoted by cults. That’s the big difference.
They really have a completely different operating principle.
Bill Gates sucks but he’s gone.
Well, as proof of your theory, my iPhone 7 Plus is the A1784. . . the Intel Modem model (Still works great, though) . . . and I am a life long, very conservative Republican. One data point proving your thesis. Rats.
Not as gone as Steve Jobs. . . instead Bill Gates is out giving away his money he gets from Microsoft on Liberal projects such as Common Core and Planned Parent Hoods.
Ahh yes, gone, but his spirit remains.
True...it is a blast from the past. Ah well. We are all that now and again.
