NBCs flagship Sunday Night Football game had its smallest audience in five years this week, evidence of the NFLs new deflation issue.
The game between Indianapolis and Houston reached 13.6 million viewers, removing the weekly broadcast from its usual spot at or very close to the top of the Nielsen company ratings. CBS Thursday night game scored slightly higher.

I watched a few breast cancer/NFL minutes at the gym. The players wore pink shoes and gloves and had a pink hanky hangin out the back pocket. What does breast cancer have to do with football?

Best game of all was the Vikings.
They had a BYE week.

Of course it didn’t help having a game between two teams in the worst division in the league. I don’t believe there’s a lot of Texans fans outside Houston anyway.

Years ago...I watched a lot of NFL.
Then my schedule changed...worked a lot of weekends.
Then my team left the state...
Nowadays....I could give a rip about the NFL.

1) TOO Many Commercials, "I can't get into the game" anymore
2) Can't watch all the games..black out rules, channel availability..problem for cord cutters.
3) I hate the pink uniforms, so I bet a lot of other people do too. Football season is short -- a lot shorter than baseball and other sports. Why do they have to wear Pink uniforms for 4+ weeks..that's like almost a 3rd of the season. I also hate that this as trickled down to college, high school, and Pee wee, which have even SHORTER seasons. Regarding pee wee, if they have a 9 week season then, that's about half the season they spend wearing the pink stuff. If they're gonna do it, why not just do it for 1 week. That's reasonable.
4) Damn concussion hyperawareness rules really screwed up the game..So many times critical game situations/plays have been ruined due to forced sit-out of QBs etc for a particular play, despite determination of no concussion.

"1) TOO Many Commercials, "I can't get into the game" anymore" We use NFL Game Pass and since we are Browns Fans it is a Godsend. Instead of watching the Browns suck for 3 hours plus we can watch the compressed version and only need to endure the Browns sucking for sixty minutes.

This David Bauder idiot did not even mention the Kaepernick factor!
Then the media retards wonder WHY their approval ratings are about the same as a pimp for the mustang ranch!

I will NEVER watch another NFL “game”
It is a game, a children’s game at that and if children emulate what the NFL does... won’t watch them either ... have a little more horsepower when it comes to HS or JR High... I can publicly bitch and Vote “NO” locally.
Most of my City Council members are literally mere houses away
I am not known as a bitcher (one that bitches), so when I complain I usually get a visit or an audience, small town... In my best Ron White voice “We’ve Met”

We vote with our remote. Our boycott of the anti-American NFL is clearly working.

Amazing despite all of the leftist BS from the NFL and NBC, there are still tons of people on FR that gladly tune in.
Is this crap THAT damn entertaining?
To: Olog-hai
Cord cutters are a big part of it IMO. How does Neilson get ratings for people that only have a smartphone to connect them to the world? You can stream NFL SNF on Twitter and from numerous other links. Same argument can be made for political polling.
The other YUGE factor is millennials. They aren’t enjoying the same things their parents did. It doesn’t help they are all broke. NASCAR, IndyCar, NHRA, Baseball, Football - all ratings and attendance down across the board.
