I really thought the crooked and corrupt Clintoon would have received one. She’s the type that normally wins. America haters are always big Nobel winners.

Well, to be fair, giving the Peace Prize in 2009 to Imelda Marcos might have saved us a lot of headaches . . .
They could give Melania the Literature award for Donald’s version of the V****a (nope, P***y) Monologues . . .
Give one to Hillary for Chemistry . . . conjuring up a non-prosecution from Oxygen.

Is the Nobel supposed to recognize the best and the brightest in each field? If that ends up with all male recipients, then the problem must be remedied at levels below the Nobel committee.

Interesting the criticism comes from women writers, me suspects much of their irritation is really due to Bob Dylan receiving the prize for liturature, and rather than dissing him directly they've chosen to whine about the lack of women winning. No offense to Dylan who is a very talented songwriter, but conflating a popular songwriter with great liturature rubs me the wrong way as well.
Male writers were more direct in this criticism:
Others, though, lamented a lost moment for books. "An ill-conceived nostalgia award wrenched from the rancid prostates of senile, gibbering hippies," wrote "Trainspotting" novelist Irvine Welsh. "I totally get the Nobel committee," tweeted author Gary Shteyngart. "Reading books is hard." The Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano said some "real writers" probably aren't pleased.

ut this is 2016. Critics are questioning why the Nobel judges couldnt find a single woman across the planet worthy of being honored in any of the six prize categories.
How dare anyone judge by merit instead of by diversity quotas.

But this is 2016So?
In terms of abilities, interests, and achievements, it's the same as 1816, or 1216, or 216, or 2016 B.C., for that matter.
