WEVE ALL BEEN CONTENT TO DEMEAN GOVERNMENT, DROP CIVICS AND CONSPIRE TO PRODUCE AN UNAWARE AND COMPLIANT CITIZENRY
UNAWARENESS REMAINS STRONG BUT COMPLIANCE IS... FADING RAPIDLY. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking - and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging..."

And as I've mentioned, we've all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry.
As a school board member, I raise holy hell about the kids being graduated as socialists and not R or D.
Holy crap!
Who is this guy? What’s his role in the campaign/Rat party?
Mainstream circulation is no longer the MSM. It is Drudge and Breitbart and Twitter.
From his bio at globalculturalstrategies.com:
“...From 1998 through 2001 Ivey served in the Clinton-Gore administration as Senate-confirmed chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, and in that capacity is credited with both increasing the agencys budget and restoring good relations between the NEA and Capitol Hill.
Bill Ivey is a trustee of the Center for American Progress, and was a Team Leader in the Barack Obama presidential transition....
He appears to have an affinity for fine things at public expense.

There are still too many people that don’t mind being compliant to the government god.
I can only hope. I would imagine that most on the Right (or at least “alt-right”) already suspect that the “elite” of the Left are doing that. Unless and until it becomes part of the national conversation, it’s not going to have much effect. There are (I suspect) more than a few who currently support the Dems who might start to think a bit if they saw this.
In a sane world this would be YUGE!
I know a few people that don’t care.. They want the government to take care of them.. A few of them are old enough to know the truth about our rights, but are willing to surrender if they can get free health care and food stamps..
Get into the Ivy league, repeat.
It's how I got a degree in Political Science from Indiana University back in the early 80s. You just had to write a paper containing the phrase "this shows how man's inhumanity to man transcends the class struggle."
Good enough for at least a B+.
This email is from March of this year. Rubio’s presser would have been on 3/12 or so.
So how did you come across this? Dig it up yourself or is there a second-hand source?
Really, Civics never offered? In that case I am most fortunate indeed. An entire semester of Civics in the Dallas Independent School District back in the late 50s, early 60s The teacher was very good at his job,and he made the class interesting and very instructive, memorable. The four siblings who followed in age, were not taught in the same fashion. My sister, a few years younger did home school her children and anything she learned was absorbed at that time. The civics class opened my eyes to the fact our government was delicately balanced and only solid as long as generations were taught the concept. One brick removed and all would go down. That class opened my eyes to so much, it completely changed my life and to be on guard, constantly watching the landscape.
In schools today, rather than civics, Climate Change (global warming) is taught I suppose. My SIL children were the results of this experiment. Years ago, still in grade school, she would tell us of the ‘cute’ things they relayed after a day in school. The children she raised are not the same educated children my sister raised. The entire family is so liberal I cannot stand to be around them for any length of time. Unafraid to tell you their beliefs, they strike when you might express alternatives. To avoid family conflict, prefer to remove myself from the foreseen altercation.
Now we’ve Common Core, no local input, and our government consumes us all.
BTW, has anyone forwarded this one to Drudge? I would have thought that he’d be happy to make it one of his top-right-corner items, given that he’s currently highlighting several other Podesta emails right now.
maybe the Left *wants* to be led by the nose by the people it elects.
I think you are correct. The further away from the citizen the decisions are made, the less responsible the citizen becomes.
Remove decisions about schooling from the family to the teacher & school board; then further remove decisions to the county, state, and ultimately an unaccountable fed govt and you can sleep easier at night knowing that the professionals are in charge and are unapproachable and that fact justifies your inaction/dereliction.
That the professionals are in effect basically the equivalent of a middle school clique gossiping back and forth with the only goal of growing and enriching the clique’s power and prestige is beside the point. They are professionals and know better than us mere citizens.
All of this makes it easier and easier to turn a blind eye towards what is actually going in schools.
The few that identify this problem, use private or parochial schools (which will be brought to heel by Common Core and judicial decisions) or Homeschool (always under judicial threat).
I am not sure where we go from here if Trump loses...
