Even in 1980, I don’t recall ANY poll that showed Reagan in front, and he won 44 states.
Rush has mentioned this....the media NEVER has the Republican candidate leading in the polls during an presidential election year. The goal is to discourage Republicans and to prop up the dem candidate.
To: cardinal4
Wouldn’t that be ironic.
But then what the hell would we talk about? :)

Nothing matters until election day. There are plenty of reasons for optimism.

I agree. Somehow I no longer worried about the polls. They don not matter anymore. The only poll matters is the one on November 8.

"...Frequently cited by journalists, public officials and researchers, the independent Quinnipiac University Poll regularly surveys residents in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and nationwide about political races, state and national elections, and issues of public concern, such as schools, taxes, transportation, municipal services and the environment. "...For a typical public opinion survey, a randomly selected sample of about 1,000 registered voters age 18 and over is interviewed over five or six days. The polls are conducted at the Polling Institute on West Woods Road, close to the Mount Carmel and York Hill Campuses...."
I wonder the handicap.

Trump’s within 2 (MOE) in the latest Fox poll, so if he’s shedding independents so badly, where’s the support coming from?
To: july4thfreedomfoundation
Trump has had the I lead in EVERY poll that’s shown a breakdown all cycle... of 10 or more points... I don’t buy for one minute that overnight there’s been a 30 point swing.. its ludicrous on its face.
We were just talking about this here at work, given the reactions of those here, this attempt at an October surprise will fall flat..

Think of this as a title fight. In a highly contested fight there are always rounds you win, and some you lose - even while winning the overall fight. Also, the Wikileaks info that was released today is potentially very damaging to HC. Think about Bill Clinton lying directly to millions on TV (”I did not have sexual relations with that woman”), and all the sordid details about that, and he still gets reelected. Point is that this is an 11 year old tape, and we should not be slitting our wrists about this.
