Considering that there are any number of threads on the topic, why did you post this as a vanity when it could have been posted as a comment to any one of those threads? What made this single line vanity so important that you had to take up bandwidth to post it? What is your justification for posting it?
Have you contributed to the FReepathon? Have you contributed enough to justify posting a single-line vanity? Have you considered joining the Dollar-a-Day Club (like myself) or even the 300 Club?

It may be simple ignorance.
But there are Freeper snowflakes who are adamant that we should be "nice" to newer Freepers who can't be bothered to learn how the site works, the peculiar language it will and won't accept.
I was an idiot, when I first joined in 1998.
I lurked for three years before I posted my first thread. I even spent days learning the fundamentals of posting replies in the HTML sandbox.
Now, it seems, snowflakes rule and the delicate personalities must be allowed to post replies without having a clue that posting a reply without a hint of the subject is not only useless, it's frustrating.
It’s also bad manners.

I have embarrassed myself by leaning on a poster who had an amazing control of Brit and American English, without the necessary control of its nuances. Since this is an international forum those folks need some slack and should feel welcome.
There is another group that deserves patience. Those that are on medication that aids them in appearing "normal" for lack of a better word. Those are a lot harder to identify, but as soon as I do, they get special consideration to make sure they continue to feel welcome. Also those that sometimes seem incoherent on account of very advanced age; also junior Freepers.
I think Free Republic deserves as wide an exposure as possible.
But that's just me.
