I’ll need legal eagles to weigh in, but this is my take:
The internet was built by the Federal government, and that is how it is maintained. It is federal public infrastructure, just like a federal highway. And just like radio stations, the internet is subject to standards of fairness and free speech.
Of course, ICANN was recently given away [illegally BTW].
So I hope the FCC will jump in or some kind of agency. Not sure what authority they have however.
