Wonder Woman is about to receive an honor very few actual human beings have received, much less fictional characters! In honor of her 75th anniversary, the United Nations will hold a ceremony at its New York City headquarters on October 21, to declare it Wonder Woman Day and among those in attendance will be the real woman who helped beam the hero’s comic book exploits into millions of homes, Lynda Carter. Carter, of course, played the flagship DC hero on the hit TV series which originally aired on ABC for its first season, then for three more on CBS. It has been in syndication off and on ever since and is now available on home video. It has also inspired a comic book series ‘Wonder Woman ’77′ set within the show’s continuity.
The role remains Carter’s main claim to fame, but she has worked steadily since, both in live action acting, voice acting for countless animated and video game projects and as a touring singer. The entire time, Carter, a former Miss World USA– who doesn’t appear to have aged more than a year since leaving the role– has continued to embrace the character, that for which she stands and of course, the still devoted fanbase.

Dang, this is some serious stuff right here. I don’t know whether to stand and bow my head or just blubber like a baby at the gravity of this event.
I could never figure out how they prevented them from popping out of her super suit. Maybe super glue?
Lynda is still looking great. She remains THE go-to Wonder Woman. Any new Wonder Woman will have to publicly declare what sexuality she’ll be portraying. Each gender (other than hetro) has it’s own loud lobby and group of lawyers.
Well, that should certainly address most of the issues confronting the world’s population.

We’ve been wpndering if she’s a woman ever since she showed up.
Still wondering about the remaining 5% possibilty that she is a woman. Non- human rising on the charts though.
I would imagine there is some film footage of that happening.
