The iPhone 7 has worse battery life than HTC 10, Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5

Consumer group Which? has conducted a series of battery life tests on the latest smartphones, and the news is not good for the iPhone 7. Pitted against the Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC 10 and LG G5, Apple's latest handset came in last place... and by some distance.

...

But whatever efficiency optimization Apple has baked into iOS 10, it seems they are not enough to make up for the measly 1,960mAh battery it decided to put in the case.

One thing it changed which I absolutely hate is it changed my clock into dark mode.

It used to be black text on a white background, which I could easily read, now it’s white text on a black background which I can barely see, I have to squint and it gives me eyestrain.

And of course there’s no way to change their default setting.

Supposedly the battery life lasts longer if you keep the charge between 40% and 80%.

My battery life is way low since I upgraded my 6+ to iOS 10.

It used to last until dinner, now it routinely dies around 2 or 3 o’clock.

It’s frustrating having to always carry a battery backup around.

My 6S had a short battery life after upgrading to iOS 10 until I did a force restart by holding the Home and Power buttons for ten seconds. Then it was back to normal. have you tried that?

10 is good. It allows you to get rid of icons that you don’t want on your screen which is great.

I have always had Motorola phones, most recently the Droid Turbo, primarily because of the battery.

I plan on getting the 8 plus when it comes out in a year or so.
