I thought it was pretty scary, and certainly ‘different’.
I think Twilight Zone’s Rod Sterling did much of the writing for the series. None can deny he was a genius.
Serling wasn’t real happy about NG, but it was still a good series. I always watched it.
Stories with little dolls, goblins or whatever running around just don’t do much for me in general. Except make me giggle.
A trilogy that scared me as a kid (and still can) is the 1963s movie “Black Sabbath”:
