He ignored multiple instructions from an officer and “concealed his hand in his pants pockets,” Davis said. Olango paced back and forth as the officers talked to him, then “rapidly drew an object from his front pants pockets, placed both hands together on it and extended it rapidly toward [one] officer, taking what appeared to be a shooting stance,” the chief said.
Olango, he said, pointed the object at the officer’s face. Police said Wednesday evening that the object was a vape smoking device, which officers have recovered.
“The vape has an allsilver cylinder that is approximately 1” diameter and 3” long that was pointed toward the officer,” police said in a statement.
At that point, the other officer fired a Taser and the officer who had the object pointed at him fired his handgun, striking Olango. Davis declined to say the number of shots that were fired. No firearm was found at the scene.
After the shooting, officers provided first aid until paramedics arrived and took Olango to a hospital.

The boys in blue are going to have to be smarter dealing with black folk, especially after what has already gone on. Way too close to the gentleman for starters. No protection other than deadly force. No idea what the situation is in regards mental capacity, drugs involved etc. There has to be a way to defuse the situation to at least less than a deadly force confrontation. This cannot continue without deadly consequences for the boys in blue. We are way past decision time to reduce these confrontations to zero. We all know and respect the need for police and the job they do, but times change and the yelling at citizens to do this or that in a high tension confrontation, has got to change or it will be counter productive to the point of no trust in the future.

That's what community organizing boils down to. These people have taken over the executive branch of the federal government; why would they stop there?

Good observation, I think. The police have got to, sooner or later, get physical control of the man. Yet they must avoid voluntarily putting themselves in a position where lethal force might be the only option.
No easy solutions here.
Basically, what the black racists, Hillary, the far left, Obama, the DOJ, soon the FBI, the thugs, and next the terrorists, are saying is:
* You cannot shoot a black or a Muslim or a terrorist (all three now a special class) if they take a threatening position that is the posture of holding a gun or other weapon pointed at the cops and after being ordered to drop what they are holding, refusing to drop it, rather the cops cannot do anything to save their own life and instead can only shoot out of self defense after the black or muslim or terrorist actually shots a cop in the face, chest, stomach.
* That if you are a black, muslim or terrorist, and the police arrive when such a black, muslim or terrorist is in the middle of a horrific crime, that this black, muslim or terrorist can simply run away and the cops cannot shoot the person after repeated orders to halt. They can just run away.
In other words, if you are a black, a muslim or a terrorist, you can do anything and not be shot by the police if and until you have already attacked an officer with deadly force. You can brandish something in your hand in a threatening manner and keep doing so after being told to drop it, or simply run away from a crime or terrorist scene and the police cannot shoot you if you refuse to halt.
Nice. Now the terrorists have even more ways to advantage us and kill us and the innocent.

It isn’t just the cops being setup to die.
Because if a cop cannot shoot a black, muslim or terrorist who takes a position of brandishing some sort of deadly force and refuses to dtop it, or can just run away from a crime or terrorist act and a cop cannot shoot such a person if a black, muslim or terrorist after being told to halt ...
... then we are ALL being setup to die. Not just the cops who have to now die first and ask questions later.
