In the day since the story broke, a handful of developers have openly announced that theyre suspending work on Oculus headsets. Plenty of Twitter users have sworn off the platform, and Reddits Oculus community is debating the piece in a 3,700-comment thread.
But the argument, for most people, isnt with Luckeys beliefs, or even just donating to a pro-Trump cause. Its that to the best of our knowledge so far, he chose one so closely associated with racism, harassment, and internet sociopathy while representing a medium thats supposedly defined by idealism and empathy.

KEYWORDS:
Oculus is a titan in the VR space. Virtual reality isnt an established medium, and for many developers, its not a lucrative one either. Anyone who makes a game or experience for a high-end headset is courting a tiny audience even if they release on every platform, and in the world of mobile VR, the Gear VR is currently the only real option beyond the super-simple Google Cardboard. And Luckey isnt just the face of Oculus, hes the face of virtual reality, as evidenced by this summers bizarre Time cover.

“While Luckeys political alignment hadnt been a secret, the news which Oculus hasnt commented on so far potentially tied him to some of the uglier parts of Trumps online support base, including alt-right cheerleader Milo Yiannopoulos.”
Oh boo hoo.The Verge is nothing if anything but a shill for Apple products and filled with Clinton apologists.

Companies and developers taking a stance against Oculus will themselves be subject to backlash. It is best to be quiet and apolitical.

Here's what I posted on "The Verge", regarding the "shitposting" reference to what Mr Luckey is doing:
"Shitposting"?
Isnt that the name for what the whole liberal media does? And, theyre millions of times bigger than than what Mr Luckey does.
And, when it comes to "shitposting", what about George Soros, who uses billions of dollars to support Hillary and advance liberal agenda issues?
If "shitposting" is the name for using ones assets to support a candidate or a cause, then, what about the 90+ percent of teachers in public schools and professors in colleges/universities, who use their positions of power to advance liberal issues and the candidacy of liberals seeking power? When it comes to "shitposting", then, what about the hundreds of millions spent by unions to also advance liberal candidates and liberal issues?
All of those powerful liberal supporters are constantly doing "shitposting" with every breath they take and every move they make.
To be fair, the author above would have to write millions of articles pointing out how its the liberals who are best at doing the "shitposting". Heck, the liberal shitposters control the schools systems, and the universities, and the unions, and over 90% of the media. Even "The Verge" can be considered part of the liberal media, since, they hardly ever speak nicely about conservatives or republicans.

Let’s all go out and support Apple, a company that uses Chinese as little more than slaves, who cannot even leap to their suicides successfully-owing to the suicide nets-on account of their work.

These snowflake pseudo scribes should stick their RAM where it belongs and leave the developers alone. At least the ones who have the guts to think for themselves politically rather than shrinking away like little petals in the wind. Some of these Clinton wankers want to boycott Oculus? Good riddance.

Perhaps they have more than one article on the same subject.

Yeah, I probably should have posted on that article too, since my comments were just as applicable in both articles.

People don’t get it.
VR is closely associated with computer GAMING, and gamers LOATHE feminism; GamerGate as reported by Milo showed the whole world.
Sorry, Luckey’s devotion to Gamers, Milo and even TRUMP makes good business sense.
It’s like...being insisting that Charlton Heston denounce the NRA and private gun-ownership.
What in hell is a FEMINIST video-game, can anyone tell me...?
