This unassuming house on a quiet street in Northeast D.C. is cramped but welcoming. There are several bikes lined up on the porch, overflowing bookshelves, personal belongings in almost every corner, and a refrigerator thats packed to the hilt. When I visit, four people are in the living room chatting and joking with each other like friends who have known each other for years. But they havent. The group has known each other for only a year or so, and they arent merely friendsthey are engaged in a bold and unusual experiment, sharing not just their home but all of their income too.

Communes. What’s old is new again.
Made to order for a grifter to infiltrate.
They will soon rob and physically attack neighbors who refuse to participate in their “experiment”.
It’s not radical. It is extreme. That’s different.
And very soon Jane will get all butthurt because she washed one more dish than John and Jane will stab John with a kitchen knife.
Humans are not pack animals. Humans are alpha predators. Primal instinct is to survive at any cost.
It has just never been done correctly. They will get it right this time......
Yeah its called communism. Such a bold new concept. LOL!
Bernie Sanders Was Asked to Leave Hippie Commune for Shirking, Book Claims (He Talked Politics!)
My wife and I share all our money with each other. Imagine the headline: “A Radical Idea: Two Suburb-Dwellers Share All Their Money.”
And as with all communist arrangements, see what happens when someone in the collective doesn’t pull his weight.
Jesus and his buddies chose to this this.
Imagine the headline: A Radical Idea: Thirteen Israel-Dwellers Share All Their Money.
Called a tribe.
Or, one of them gets a $25,000 Christmas bonus...and thinks that should be excluded from their little social experiment.
“Jenny brings in significantly more money than the other commune members. She says that some have been critical of the arrangementthe suggestion being that the guys are basically freeloading off of her. She doesnt see it that way at all: “
Mental illness
This experiment will be over once one of them figures out they can retire early now.
It works fairly well in a commune. Not so well on higher scales.
Sure!!!
What could go wrong
IT’s not like the people with the most money will move out or anything... I guess we’ll have to make that illegal next.
I AM ALL FOR THIS IDEA!!
Start it now, and lets see how it works out, before we apply it to the whole country.
Their controlled experiment seems to work great for them... they have created a society, but a closed society. Those who are included have duties and responsibilities towards the others and they dwell in a great balance of trust and respect... But, lets have a stranger join them as a fifth and see how quickly things go bad. I’d bet it would be hours before days. It’s the “control” element that is the evil behind the snapshot: The self-control of the four, if not respected or reflected by the fifth would require adjustments to the balance and ... perhaps reeducation or other means of control...
Communisms works 100% in families, and where everyone loves each other and is willing to support each other...
But add the next door neighbor, who just want to drink beer and watch TV, and it fails.
And that is with just one person.
This time communism will work!
