Everyone in the US is afraid of the IRS.
They have their own courts,
they lie even to Congress,
they are felonious and they are rewarded instead of fired,
and they have guns to murder and protect terrrorists,
like the rest of the “US”-Islamic-by-fraud “government”.
If the IRS “raids” somebody, it will be the first to call the press. And the press will respond.
Reporters don’t want to be audited.
How many stories were ever published in E. Germany about the Stazi? Same problem. Authoritarian regimes kill or co-opt a formerly free press. In the case of our own MSM, they went willingly, in fact enthusiastically.
Some form of National Retail Sales Tax (perhaps the Fair Tax) would be much better.
The IRS should cease to exist.
Probably fall into the Dog Bites Man category....
Really?
I don't know of any. I'm nearly 70 years old and I've never known even third hand of anyone having been "raided." (Except maybe via the news.) I know quite a few who have been audited, including myself. When I was audited I never came in contact with anyone from the IRS. My accountant did everything. A couple of people I know have been visited by agents but these have never been the sort of visits where guns were necessary.

1. Rarely is it dramatic for anyone but the person being raided, closest to a bankruptcy liquidation.
2. Assumption by public you’re guilty, akin to dog bites man story
3. When they do show up with guns drawn, it isn’t covered with cameras the way police events are - so no dramatic footage the way police dash cams and public bystanders create.
What Trump could/should do that will clinch him the win: declare during the first debate that the IRS is thoroughly corrupt and that it can not be reformed, so it will be eliminated.
Local media covers these stories. A search engine will reveal an endless number.
No reason for much national attention without any shooting or bloodshed.
And a disproportionate number seems to be Democrat preferred classes so the MSM self-censors to a certain extent.
The media won’t report on it so as to protect the man they elected. Two minutes after Trump is sworn in, the media will go back to reporting on IRS raids, unemployment and the homeless.
I’ve been through a sales tax audit. We were dealing in antiques. Buy tax deferred and collect sale tax upon sale. More or less, the IRS thought we should pay sales tax on every antique we possessed but hadn’t sold. They assumed we bought them all tax deferred. Sorry, don’t have receipts for my family heirlooms.
Very much like being raided, except they didn’t use any lube.
