he robbery occurred on April 8 after a 30- to 40-year-old woman entered a Ralphs grocery store in the 600 block of North Las Posas Road, according to a news release from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman wondered around the store for a few minutes before approaching the pharmacy counter with a note demanding Xanax and oxycodone prescription medications, the Sheriff’s Office stated.
In the note, the woman also warned that anyone who tried to intervene would be shot, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
The woman was given an undisclosed amount of Xanax and then she ran into the parking lot.
It was unclear if she fled in a car or on foot after reaching the parking lot.

I’m curious as to why Pharmacies don’t keep fake bottles of drugs labeled as the narcotics these losers want...similar to those exploding ink bags of money at banks?
My local has signs all over that narcotics are in a timed-release safe. How is that a deterrent?

Good idea! I'm sure there would be people grabbing them off the shelves and taking them to the cashier, though. Maybe if they had small-print labelling as chewable multivitamins or candy, the cashiers could just ring them up for $4.95, and everything's good.

When apprehended she should have been given a pound of Xanax and oxycodone-and made to SWALLOW every one on the spot! I detest drug addicts and dealers. Wastes of oxygen.
