BELLINGHAM, Wash. - A Bellingham man, who is supporting Donald Trump, says people kept on stealing his Trump yard signs, almost as fast as he was putting them up.
Ray Gilbride tells our partner KIRO Radio that he has had a total of seven signs stolen.
This summer, Gilbride got fed up.
First he set up a security camera, but when he turned over footage of people taking the signs to police, he says they didn't follow up.
Gilbride then wired up a rig that electrified the signs.
Surveillance video showed people taking the signs and getting shocked.

It’s shocking what people have to resort to these days.
Republicans (in the traditional sense of the word) are like the parents. D-rats are the spoiled brats of this country.
Conservatism is a TOUGH sell. It’s easy to promise gubmint cheese.
I guess he didn’t wire the signs up with 220.
I’m sure this provided lots of satisfaction, but it really is a bad idea that could get him in trouble.
Razor blades.
Bear traps MWA HA HA HA
Well, he should be careful because someone could successfully press charges if the device actually hurt someone. He should probably check with his attorney if a warning sign would suffice to protect him from a lawsuit.
220, 221, whatever (Mr. Mom ref) hehehe.
So shocking for Dembots.
[220, 221, whatever (Mr. Mom ref) hehehe.]
“How about a little trim off that mustache, Ron?”
That is a great idea. Use non lethal cattle electric fence transformers. Kind of pricey or you might borrow one from a farmer. This is no game. This is our right of free speech.
Protecting an asset is not a crime.
Hmmmm - I have an electric fence unit that runs on two D cells, not a heavy jolt but it gets your attention. Now to find a Trump sign...
I don’t see any video. Just a still photo.
There is extensive case law on possible criminal responsibility for a property owner who sets a trap for trespassers that causes personal injury. It looks like this is just a little jolt, but considering he lives in Washington State he should probably stop this.
See my tagline....
“Trespassing and theft are crimes. Protecting an asset is not a crime.”
Either you’ve been living under a rock or came out of a time machine....
He could always charge the perps with stealing electricity.
We do not have the right to hurt others and a lawsuit would lose this guy his house
Use tangle spray on the signs so the people will be smeared with it.
That Is more effective and legal too
