Around the world, governments have recently been issuing an unsettling call for their citizens to become more self-reliant. Just this week, the governments of both Germany and Czechoslovakia warned that people should be be prepared for the worst case possible scenario.
But here in the United States, just the opposite is happening. Our government seems to have an unquenchable thirst for cracking down on those who take responsibility for themselves. There is an abundance of evidence of this in Louisiana.
(snip...)
This massive disaster was all but ignored by the mainstream media, since it didnt fit the current agenda of divisiveness and racial tension. So what did the folks in Louisiana do?
They rolled up their sleeves and took care of business.
First, the Cajun Navy, a loosely organized group of local fishers, boaters, hunters, and guides, took it upon themselves to being rescuing people trapped by the sudden flood. Initially, the local sheriffs department was reluctant to accept the assistance, but as they became quickly overwhelmed, they realized that they were disregarding a valuable asset.
(snip...)
And that is when the government said, Oh, no. We cant have that.
Of course, the government doesnt want citizens to realize that they are perfectly capable of rescuing themselves. If people realize that they can perform independently and that it is much better than performing within the strictures of government regulations, they will be a heck of a lot harder to control.
So, they stepped in and uttered the scariest words ever.
Were from the government and were here to help.
Like a horde of modern-day carpetbaggers, they began helping by forcing people who were struggling to rebuild to purchase permits. Thats right. They forced people to ask for permission for the right to repair their own property.

And then they were forcing g the Cajun navy to pay fees. Wow.
if this was CA or other state completely run by public employee unions it would even be worse, if that is possible.
Liberals fear most the people who do not need liberals.
Czechoslovakia?
‘The government deployed the police to prevent these good Samaritans that we all wish now were our own neighbors from continuing with their efforts.’
...and there are those here who still believe the police will defend their RKBA.
“They forced people to ask for permission for the right to repair their own property.”
I’m reading this as “building permit”, and I myself just can’t pound the table for an abolition of any oversight of both licensed contractors and people claiming to be competent and honest contractors who are showing up with dollar signs in their eyes.
My sister who lives in Central said that Red Cross is suing Central Baptist Church to get some of the money that Trump donated Central Baptist to help flood victims. She says that she cannot get approved permit to begin repairs. She has stripped the entire house and removed the sheetrock. All she has left is the studs and poured concrete foundation. The local government says that she has to raise her house several feet to get permit to repair home. How can you raise a poured concrete foundation? The outside is brick.
Property ownership has been abolished in this country by stealth.
The STATE should be asking PROPERTY OWNERS for permission to deal with these issues, and quietly going away if the owners say “no thanks, I got this.”
They are suing the church to get part of Trump’s donation? WTH! What ridiculous claim are they using? I am sure that if Trump thought the Red Cross was worthy, he would have donated to them. Someone needs to obliterate these parasites. That’s just outrageous.
According to Charity Navigator,Red Cross CEO Gail McGovern's salary,as of 2014 is $562,364.oo (most recent record avaiable).
I think the American Red Cross could better improve their tarnished reputation by droppong their lawsuit.
Regarding permits to repair housing, you elect the local government officials who appoint the building insspecters, you can always "un-elect" them too !
Charity Navigator gives the American Red Cross 3 out of 4 stars recommendation as of 6/1/16.

I think we all know how the Baptist Church behaved with the funds it recieved for its own members, friends, and neighbors.
Those Church folks certainly don't need a national parasite demanding 'their cut' of TRUMP'S generosity !
They’re back? Who knew.
I've been involved with websites since before zerohedge and their writers were born, and the way it was always done was to make sure the newest stuff was cool but you didn't needlessly cut anybody out. Zerohedge is one of the few.
