Neighbors send racist letter to Kansas family: ‘This neighborhood does not need any blacks’

A biracial family in Wichita, Kansas, was shocked when, on Monday, they were hit with an unsigned letter that said they were doing their neighborhood “a great disrespect” because of the presence of their children.

“We have noticed there are some black children at your residence,” the note read. “Maybe you are running a daycare or these are your children. In either case, we have put our house for sale. This neighborhood does not need any blacks in it.”

“There is a reason for saying the other side of the tracks. That is where these people belong. You have done a great disrespect in this neighborhood by not thinking of your neighbors.”

If this letter actually went through the postal system it might be a federal crime.

Very few people send letters these days.

I don’t believe this story.

There are a few idiots like this still out there. I've not met any since my apartment neighbor Max barged in drunk to complain about a black friend and his white wife visiting me. I got up from the couch fully intending to send Max back to his apartment without benefit of a door, but my friend stopped me.

That was about forty years ago and I'm sure Max is long gone. As I'm also certain he was a committed Democrat. Ninety nine percent of stories like this turn out to be hoaxes by the supposed "victims", so I'll remain a bit skeptical. But combine the idiocy of saying you're selling your house (realty signs are such a give away) with the general attitude toward children and I'd look for a house for sale with a Hillary sign in the yard.

Another fake hate crime. This is a sample of Bill Clinton’s lasting legacy, since he was the one who invented the concept of “hate crime.”

Since so many hate hoaxes have taken place, no one (except maybe brainless liberals) believes them for even a second—why do the hoaxers keep trying?

Must be a lot of homes for sale in the neighborhood if they can’t determine which one the letter came from

Insightful post of the day award! Congratulations.

Should be easy enough for any reporter worth his salt to get a listing of all the homes that recently went for sale in a neighborhood..... and then start asking questions

Some moron here painted a nasty slur on a grocery store that is owned by a Mexican family.

Every Democrat politician came out of the woodwork to deliver finger-wagging lectures to us about what a bunch of RACISTS we all were.

I’ve nearly concluded that one of them did the graffiti job.

This is an implied threat (EVEN THOUGH I’M ALMOST 100 PERCENT CERTAIN IT’S A HOAX)

Should be a state law against it ABSOLUTELY.

I know I would be worried for my kid if it was real.

Let’s not do semantics.

Very few people send letters these days.

The recently retired pastor of my church used to receive anonymous nutball letters on a regular basis.

Possible hoax presented as fact and appearing in a black oriented web site. Nothing can be taken at face value without proof.

On the other hand Spike Lee says pretty much the same thing about white people moving to Brooklyn and gets away with it.

Big fat stoooopid hoax. Anonymous home seller. Yeah, as if there are more than a couple for sale signs within a few blocks. Not very anonymous so it’s a got’cha for hoax.

"A biracial family in Wichita, Kansas, was pretended to be shocked when, on Monday, they were hit with sent themselves an unsigned letter that said they were doing their neighborhood “a great disrespect” because of the presence of their children."

Fixed it.

Agreed. The wording is just a bit off. Also the use of the word ‘disrespect’ seems to be a dead giveaway.

It’s not semantics. It is clarity. The feds have no constitutional authority here at all. However, the people of the states may have the state set up laws to intervene if they so choose.

IMO, let society itself move to more good-will and tolerance but not in the sense of approving dysfunction or low life-style living.
