"Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan grilled 12-year-old trophy hunter Aryanna Gourdin Monday morning, comparing her killing of a giraffe to slaying her pet cat.
Gourdin, a Utah native, became the subject of heated controversy when she posted photos last week to her Facebook account of a giraffe, wildebeest and zebra she killed on an African safari.
How would you feel if I came to your house one day, and I hunted down your pet cat, and I killed it and I then posted pictures of me celebrating the slaughter of your pet cat? Morgan proudly asked the young girl. The pre-teen trophy hunter clearly agitated by the question struggled to find an answer, so her father stepped in, telling Morgan he was asking a trick question because the giraffe was not his pet.

And if that wasn’t enough.... most buffalo hunters agreed that the best bullet lubricant was 50% bees wax and 50% sperm whale oil. You had to off the whales to shoot the buffalo.
lifting many people out of poverty.....Don’t go that far far. It helps Many people out of SUBSISTANTIVE level of existing.
In Africa you think an animal killed by a trophy Hunter was left to rot? I seriously doubt it. People lined up for meat from that animal.
I have never been on an African hunt but I know people who have.
We have dominion over the beasts of the earth. If you hunt in a humane and intentional manner, there is nothing wrong with enjoying your accomplishment in using your tracking, stalking, and shooting skills to harvest an animal, especially when you know that the hunting of critters such a giraffes is regulated in such a way that the fees to harvest this particular giraffe with ultimately contribute to the long-term survival of the species.
I have no sympathy when adult or child hunters shoot themselves by mistake. I say good riddance.

Ahhh piers.
Bravely attacking girls face to fakebook now is it?
You always can be counted on to set new and lower standards for being a non-stop azzhole.
.
BFD. This was nothing but senseless slaughter. What purpose did it serve? I'm far from a PETA fan, but slaughtering animals for sport is asinine and indefensible. .
WOW!
Picture Perfect Reply!
Thanks...
You know, you signed up less than a year ago. You're clearly not bright enough to post here. Why don't you simply lurk for awhile until you have something to say that makes some sense?
And who the heck are you to tell somebody whether they should hunt or not?
Sounds like liberalism to me; if you don't want to do something, you don't think ANYONE should do it.
Nonsense. Wasting life, especially for “fun” is strictly prohibited.
Secondly, if this wonderful family wanted to provide for survival of the species or benefit the people of the country they could donate the cost of their $20,000 safari to a wildlife refuge or educational charities.
I hope their new found “popularity” repays them well.
They kill for pleasure and that is F’ing sick.
No, giraffes are not an endangered species. They are plentiful on the savannas of Africa...
the infowarrior
You think this 12 year old girl went out into the savannahs of Africa to hunt without permits and sanctioned by the local game officials...?
If you want to cast blame, blame those who sanctions giraffe hunts
As for Morgan he's pure asshole for even asking such a vile and disgusting question..
Or passive sign language, like Braille. You know, with all the bumps.
She looks like she very much enjoyed killing the giraffe. She seems to be enjoying her safari too.
MOrgan’s question was stupid and irrelevant; it was exceedingly sinister for him to attack this young girl in such an underhanded way...
I also find it odd that a father would encourage his young daughter to engage in ‘thrill kills’ and to publicize it on social media...
happily better examples of manhood than these two exist...
Suggest more people should go to Africa in the dry season. There is not nearly enough food for all the animals and many will die of starvation. Controlled hunts help to maintain the overall health of many species.
