In that part of the world if there wasn’t hunting to give the natives incentives to keep the animals alive. They would be gone.
I traveled in Africa and have seen palaces where that incentive isn’t there. The animals soon disappear.

No. Sorry. First there is limited space in the parks. The animals have to be culled. That means shot. Including giraffes.
Second - they only have the money to run the parks because of the big money the hunts bring in.
Third - the meat is distributed locally.
