A 31-year-old man found himself running from bullets after a mother found him in her 16-year-old daughter’s bedroom, police say.
Valerie Fowler, of Paoli, Okla., shot Brandon Vail twice after she found him and her daughter kissing, according to an affidavit. Vail survived and was taken to a hospital by helicopter, while Fowler was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
The teen, who was identified in the affidavit as K.P., told police that her boyfriend had been coming over three times a week after her mother left for work at 5:30 a.m.
But on Monday morning, Fowler kicked in the locked bedroom door and fired a shot at Vail as he tried to get out of bed, according to the affidavit. Vail ran toward the hallway, while Fowler fired a second shot at him.
Michael Lewis, police chief for Paoli, about 50 miles southeast of Oklahoma City, was called about 7:20 a.m. to a nearby trailer home, where he found Vail lying on the front porch, according to the affidavit.
Investigators found bloodstains on the bed and sheets, as well as on the walls and floors of Fowler’s house. They also found a handgun.
Lewis told NBC affiliate KFOR that the 16-year-old girl and a young child witnessed the shooting. Lewis was not immediately available for comment Tuesday.

Biologically speaking a 16 year old is not a child. Being attracted to one doesn’t make someone a pedophile. Through most of human history the majority of women were married by 16. It may be creepy, but using the term in this case trivialized true pedophilia.

A 16 year old who invites a man into her bedroom and is kissing him is fair game. Sex? Illegal. Kissing? Bad parenting. Give her a decade in prison.

I have spent quite a bit of time in Oklahoma, but they do not let me write their laws.
If they did let me write their laws, the Age of Consent would be 18.
However, in Oklahoma, the Age of Consent is only 16.
statuatory rape by an adult twice the teens age. mom is not guilty.
It actually took place in a trailer park.

Um, no. 16 is the age of consent in Oklahoma. You might not approve of it, but it is absolutely not "statutory rape" under the state's laws.
In Florida, the stand your ground law would likely assure dismissal of the charges. And, as a matter of tactics, always aim for the center of mass.

This hits really close to home.
In the late 70’s my sister called me from Gonzales La, right there where Trump unloaded a truck full of supplies for the flood victims last week. She has 2 daughters, one was 12 the other 7. Out of control, 3 baby sitters quit in 2 weeks, said she needed help.
So off I went. Older one was cussing like a sailor, throwing F bombs around, younger one was almost as bad, both just out of control, so I put my foot down. Took a while to get it back to normal, but after a few spankings, they started to get the hint.
So one evening the older one spent the night with a friend form school about a block away. About 6:30 the next morning I was helping sis get ready for work, packing lunch and so forth, when the kid came in, slammed the door, really bad look on her face, ran to her room and slammed the door.
Sis went to see what was going on. Her friend’s mother had a boyfriend about 30, niece woke up a few minutes earlier to find him in her bed, nightgown up above her waist, trying to pull her panties down. I hit the ceiling. I had one of these.

Tells you a little about my sister, I had that thing on my belt, she fought me back into the living room and fought me for 10 minutes until I calmed down enough she could get me to promise I would keep my cool and let the police handle him.
She’s done it when I had a shotgun in my hand too, I was about to go after her freshly ex boyfriend when I found out he had been stepping on her toes and choking her when she kicked him out. Fearless...he called her bitching because she had been kicking his shins...When she got off the phone I just said where is he?” She refused to tell me and fought me over that one too...with a loaded shotgun in my hand...shoving me across the room...and she’s 6 inches shorter than me and at the time weighed about 30lbs less. I was only about 135lbs...fearless
Anyway, when I hear about something like this, I don’t think I have to tell you what I think should happen to the guy...
