Across NFL front offices, there are team officials who are not offended, and even embrace, the controversial position of Colin Kaepernick. They are out there. Statistically, they have to be. But they are keeping a low profile.
They seem to be far outnumbered by the members of NFL front offices who despise him. Truly, truly hate him.
"I don't want him anywhere near my team," one front office executive said. "He's a traitor."
A traitor?

Watched the interview with Spurrier and thought his answer reasonable. Like the vast majority he did not agree that Kap was right, even though he has a right to sit. It’s not a broken law to sit during the National Anthem. It is biting the hand that fed him and it is stupid. As I have told my sons so often,”if you are gonna be stupid, you better be tough.”
You know what really gets me with these socialists progressives is their ironic “love of money.” If they were true socialists they would subscribe and adhere to beliefs of say the great socialist economist Dr.Thorstein Veblen.
He deemed all organized sports as predatory behavior and if you made millions of dollars it was considered a “predatory seizure of wealth” — usually only enjoyed by the leisure class, not the humble masses ... All NFL players should give all their wealth back to the poor ... then they could feel better, have less quilt and stand up for our Anthem.
Isn’t it amazing how history repeats? And we learn nothing.
Naaaah
Not this year. They will let him sit this year and then cut him before the spring deadline. That saves them a bunch of money
Nite this jerk is sooooo ethical and saintly he refuses to quit the game and go be a SJW.....and why not? Because he would have to pay back his bonus money......POS plain and simple
Krapperneck absolutely has the right to sit during the Star-Spangled Banner...on his own time. When in uniform or at an official press conference after a game, he is acting as a representative of his employer and has no business drawing attention to his personal causes. He has selfishly chosen to become a distraction, and his decision has had a negative impact (financially and otherwise) on his team and the league, in general. You and I would be disciplined, if not fired, for such behavior. The things we have the right to do in private don’t always carry over to our public/professional lives. The sooner this entitled brat figures that out, the better.
A pox on him.
I will say that most North American hockey players are used to playing in stadiums on both sides of the border since they were children, literally. In many venues on both sides, both national anthems are played before a game. The players are taught to show respect from an early age.
Never seen anyone use up their 15 minutes of fame faster.
That's an indication of how far our country has devolved in the past 30 years beginning with Clinton.
There was a time when hippies would get a beat down if caught burning the American flag. Now, the mantra is "it's their right to do so and you're not a true American if you object"
The same thing goes for this asshole, 30 years ago every defensive lineman in the NFL would have begged to be put into the game in order to get a chance to rip Kaepernick's head off and it's quite likely Kaepernick's offensive line would have given them the opportunity.
30 years ago people knew what was right and what was wrong, nobody was defending someone's wrongdoing by claiming they had the "right" to do so.......
The definitions of Right and Wrong have been destroyed by the leftists and unfortunately been embraced by people on the so called "Right" of the political spectrum........
It's not going to change, it's going to get worse.......the moral fabric that holds this society together is unraveling........
I wonder if Colin Kaepernick will be refusing to stand for the Canadian national anthem after he gets traded to the Edmonton Eskimos next season.
"Asshole" fits the bill quite nicely.
Excellent
I’ve been watching rugby (when I can find it). Think football with 15 a side played in soccer gear. Blocking not allowed. Ball is live after tackles, but you have to be on your feet to play it. No forward passes, but forward kicks are allowed. Injured players are tended to on the field while game is played around them.

They’re also entirely (?) Caucasian.
I watched a match the other night. It’s amazing the NRL players can put up with so much punishment. The game itself is a little dull, to me, but not to its fans, obviously.
There’s a man named Chuka Ndulue ...
He plays Nose Tackle for the San Diego Chargers. He looks like the sort of man who lives for smashing punk-ass quarterbacks.
I hope he has a VERY good game this coming Sunday.
Try REAL Rugby, called rugby union. It is a real man’s game, much better than NRL (rugby League). All action, available on line via ESPN3.
Encourage, not force. Sam was a cheap date... a seventh round underperformer. Kaepernick comes at a high price.
