Harry Fujiwara known to WWE fans as Mr. Fuji, died Sunday morning.
The five-time WWE World Tag Team Champion was known for his black tuxedo and bowler hat and his trademark move of grabbing a handful of salt (hidden in a small bag in his tights) and throwing it in the eyes of his opponents to blind them.

Oh yes, he had a great act. The WWWF was my home territory back in the seventies. I was a young kid but used to watch on uhf Spanish language tv.
Not a particularly great wrestler but a great personality and great storyteller in the ring.
I used to write for wrestling magazines in the early 1990s!
I believe this was in the entertainment section of the newspaper’s website and not sports. I read somewhere that recently ESPN added WWE stories to its website. Would you say this is more appropriate for the sports section or entertainment for a newspaper?
“Kamikaze clothesline”? That is a screen name waiting to happen. :-)
Neither, really. It’s not quite sport, but relegating it to just entertainment doesn’t seem right, either.
In the modern era it’s more entertainment, and a TV show. Back in Fuji’s era, wrestling was more it’s own thing and its own genre. I prefer that.
Personally I think they got screwed.
RIP. I always got the impression he was copying Harold “Oddjob” Sakata, himself a former wrestler turned actor.
If I remember correctly, Bullfighting articles used to appear in the Arts section of Spanish newspapers.
Wasn’t Toro Tanaka in the mix somewhere?
Forgot all about this... Don "Johnson" Muraco and Lt. Tubby Fuji starring in... Fuji Vice!
“Don’t worry about him, he’s from out of town.” Too awesome.
Did you notice a young Hillary Clinton playing the deceased’s sister?
She helped him commit suicide on Fort Marcy Beach...
“I should have never hired a man, you can’t trust them” and then she calls a man to tie up Muraco and Fuji.
How about the interview when Muraco points to himself as Fuji and Fuji as Muraco. Clever, so not to reveal their true identities. That is my story and I am sticking to it.
He was a good villain. Always pulling some powder or “foreign object” out of his tights when the ref was distracted and as the “good guy writhed in agony standing there with that “who, me?” look, empty hands raised. As a kid I was outraged, outraged I tell ya!
Yep I sure do remember him..my brother got me hooked on wrestling, back when it was WWF..back when wrestling was wrestling instead of what you see today, more entertainment, less wrestling
“Alertly moving out of the way.” That was the turning point.
They could seriously hurt people if they wanted to
