Oops, I’m sorry. That’s Europa, not Io.
Nice change of pace post .. thanks :-)
Duh! How could you make such a mistake!
I’ll wait until it come out in color...
Really! I mean, does that look like a rotten pizza to you? I should’ve known.
I’ve been thinking the same thing. It’ll be really cool in color.
Very cool. Thanks 4 sharing.
Attempt no landings on Europa.
But if you can get it into the hole, you get 10,000 points.
If Jupiters mass were say about a thousand times greater that it is it would have been a star. As it is however ol’ Jupiter is a kind of cosmic short stop. His big mass pulls in all kinds of stuff that would otherwise come smashing into us-most of the time. Some stuff does slip by but all in all we wouldn’t be here on our little planet if it weren’t for the old King Of The Planets.
Juno did its first orbital flyby of Jupiter yesterday. Should have some cool images in the next few weeks. Then in October they’re going to put Juno into an even tighter orbit.

I dunno. I always thought Io looks kinda like an orange that was stuck behind the fridge too long.
Excellent!
Can’t wait!
You started it - now play it and try to get it our of your mind!! Shucks - it will be with me all day now.
