What they said was that mayor’s order as it was written....won’t pass the constitutional test. There could be some effort to write the law and have it passed nationally.

But I think if you just limit this business to facial coverings....it’d be fine with most people.

Eventually at some point....some comedian is going to enter this whole debate and play the fake-burqa gal routine, and then what? Since nuns and priests are already deemed open for comedians...the burqa gals will get their dose.

I've been thinking about it more. I didn't like the ban to begin with, because there is nothing wrong with that outfit for beach activities. Then I realized another reason not to like the ban. It trivializes terrorism. Leave it to the French, and what happened? Their solution was to make a fashion statement instead of keeping invaders who want to blow them up out of France.

Then there's those pictures of nuns frolicking in habits beachside on the Riviera.

How can anyone take the French seriously with their really weird terrorist priorities?
