When it comes to love, Martina Paillant wont settle for someone who has a credit score below 700.
I need a man who has his life together and can pay his bills, the 22-year-old Canarsie, Brooklyn, resident tells The Post.
Paillant, who attends graduate school in Miami, asks potential suitors their credit scores by the fourth date. While some may call her snooty for checking someones FICO number before becoming Facebook official, shes been focused on her finances since she was 16 years old and has a credit score above 800.

It says she’s 22 and has a score over 800. No one could blame her for wanting a partner who’s equally financially responsible.
By the fourth data, which is when this woman asks about credit, she's probably considering an LTR with the guy.
And I have seen the flashy dude who has terrible credit looking for the cash cow of a wife
Works both ways
Having good credit is a start not an emd
So she plans to live on borrowed money?
Oops, shoulda read more closely.
I see she axed for it -
“asks potential suitors their credit scores by the fourth date”
That's fine. In the old days women were justifiably concerned their suitors had "good prospects".
But Miss Paillant had better understand that men also have justifiable concerns of their prospective wives; of good moral character, able and willing to cook, clean, sew, bear and nurture children, love honor cherish and obey their husband, and forsake all others. If she is not up to these measures, her "wife score" is unacceptable.
I don’t like the way she dresses, but she’s young and hopefully will grow out of that.
However, she seems to be intelligent and has thought her finances through. Isn’t a high credit score something to be desired? I don’t understand the criticism coming her way regarding that.
Sounds like Jack the Ripper or Ted bunds
My guess is she has attracted some brothers who are players
This girl only dates men with high credit scores too.
She forgot to add the point that at that age, she will most definitely also factor in the the most Alpha male she can possibly find. Credit score might be a door opener but he who makes her moist jumps to the front of the line. Only as a single woman approaches 35 does she begin to think she’ll settle for Mr. Beta with a good job.
Dave Ramsey and Rachel Cruz’s books are better.
“My guess is she has attracted some brothers who are players”
Bingo.
I need a man who has his life together and can pay his bills,
Seems reasonable to me. Who’d want a man whose life is a ruin and who can’t pay his way in life let alone support a wife and family?
Do you think that will become more common, Girls seeking men much older than them? With Good Credit History and who can provide?
Not much different than Fox News picking female news presenters and commentators based on their looks once there has been a filter using minimum qualifications. Plenty of good looking, well spoken presenters with great education and background.
Should be plenty of fish in the sea with good credit scores. Besides, she’s too young to follow through on her self-imposed standard anyway.
What men are these? They certainly are not products of the progressive left or the public school system and they are not many of them left in Obama's remade Amerika.
I agree. Standards can be a very good thing.
And hers are actually reasonable, though I’d think 725 would be ok, especially at her age.
Whether or not she is responsible for her score is relevant too.
It’s all about the Benjamins
“Do you think that will become more common, Girls seeking men much older than them? With Good Credit History and who can provide?”
I don’t think the ‘older’ thing is what the girls are seeking just that what they are seeking can’t be found with younger men.
You know my story. I was looking for a situation and it just happened that it was someone older who could provide it to me.
And 100 years ago what I did wasn’t all that remarkable.
