When it comes to love, Martina Paillant wont settle for someone who has a credit score below 700.
I need a man who has his life together and can pay his bills, the 22-year-old Canarsie, Brooklyn, resident tells The Post.
Paillant, who attends graduate school in Miami, asks potential suitors their credit scores by the fourth date. While some may call her snooty for checking someones FICO number before becoming Facebook official, shes been focused on her finances since she was 16 years old and has a credit score above 800.

the young woman's parents used to DEMAND it.....
sounds like rational criteria to me
“Ain’t no romance without finance.”
Which brings up the question: What does she do when the nice guy says,
“No, I’m not giving you that. When it comes to my credit rating, that is only shared between me and any creditors I may have, and I only share my income information with the IRS come tax time.”
“If you can’t figure out who I am from my behavior and other cues, a credit score is not going to help you decide if I am a suitable, stable, loving mate. Some of the most soulless people I’ve met are wealthy and I can only imagine their credit rating is quite high.”
Wonder how she responds to that?
Vice-versa applies just as much, and today, is more applicable.
That is his prerogative. Men should look into the woman’s credit rating as well. And what about a man’s virginity status. Who the heck wants a horny low credit score cad?
So, you would be interested in a woman with a piss poor credit rating?
Well, at least she’s upfront about it.
“Seriously, what happened where men could not provide for their Women and Families? “
Feminism happened and men were told a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.

If they’re to the point where they’re considering a long term future together, and the guy won’t share his credit score, she’d be justified in breaking up with him. I think she’s showing considerable wisdom in wanting a financially secure mate. That said, she would need to provide him with her own credit score as well.
On the other hand, she dresses trashily. If she wants to attract a responsible man, she needs to dress the part of a mature, responsible woman.
Totally agree. It goes both ways. Each should have their criteria. A good credit rating says some good things about a person, not everything, but some.
“Who the heck wants a horny low credit score cad?”
Obama?
“And what if her potential suitor wants to check her virginity status?”
ROFL! I thought the same thing!
The whore wants money? Fine. Show me your worthiness, and you had better not be a slut if I am doing the buying!
Right. I’d want someone that has a lot, not someone that can borrow a lot. Cash be King.
That face isn’t worth a 350 FICO! And where are her high credit score boobs?? Those are flat bottom scoring bumps.
Understood.
A valid question if a serious long term committed relationship is in thew works. . .among other “serious” questions to be asked when contemplating marriage.
Not sure if a few dates qualifies as that.
“If theyre to the point where theyre considering a long term future together, and the guy wont share his credit score, “
4th date? lol
“So, you would be interested in a woman with a piss poor credit rating?”
Wife had one. Was getting her master’s and didn’t make much money at the time. Had about a 580 FICO. Her financial prospects, however, were much greater than that moment in time. 20+ years later and she’s worked out perfectly.
Anyone using FICO as a means to vet a spouse is doomed to divorce.
My latest score is 905 but I am spoken for. If available I would want someone with over a 30 bust.
LOL, I’m almost 26 and with a sense of history!
