Happy wet Sunday all!
A great, mysterious lineup tonight with only a few problems...Murray continues to poke listeners in the eye by removing Dragnet from 7:30pm and moving it to 8:30, so odd...then a waste of time with Superman...but then hitting a stride with Whistler...Dimension X is ok, I'm not big into scifi...and ending strong with Suspense and Inner Sanctum...
How's your Sunday?

Hi, Vision! Welcome home! I hope your time over there was a very good one. I know the salami incident was a stain, but that’s the stupid, petty “security” forces for you.
I’ve about had it with Murray. He’s obstinate for no good reason in his refusal to leave the first three shows alone. Whatever he has in his head about that lineup is unmovable, and it irks us.

Thanks. The poor salami! He is doing a great job on programming.
What's up with you both?

Not much going on here, Vision. We’re just enjoying the evening before the work week starts and Keith has to go back on call, which he hates. I don’t much like it, either. :-/
We just watched Chef John’s Paper Pork method video that he has at the top of his site right now. I don’t know what difference the paper makes, and he’s not sure either, but it looks good. He does a basic rub and bakes it low and slow.

Sorry to hear about Keith and being on call.
I watched it too. Funny to see Chief John use Aaron Franklin's butcher paper technique on pork, and then wrap it in foil. Basically he's braising the pork. Can't imagine it's that much better than normal but all the juices are there.
I'm going to go saute some seafood. Just got a rice cooker and am tickled with it.

Thanks for the ping! I would always miss the beginning otherwise. 7pm comes so early!

A rice cooker is easier than just a saucepan and lid? I guess with a rice cooker there’s no chance of turning your back and singeing the rice. :-)

Much, especially with brown rice. And it has a timer so you don't have to mess with it. Love it.

Wow, and I wasn’t trying to sell you! FYI they come in different sizes and I got the $3 two year warranty due to some of the reviews.

Oh, I know, but we wouldn’t need a bigger one than have, and that one looked just fine. I didn’t buy the warranty.

I've done two great runs of brown rice so far. I've also been washing the rice which apparently is a good thing to do. Today I set it up at lunch and it was ready at 7pm as programmed. Next week I'm going to try a box of beans and rice.
