A North Charleston homeowner is facing charges after officials say he was operating an illegal homeless shelter at the property.
The Post and Courier of Charleston reports North Charleston officials say 51-year-old Cyrus Kamini was charged Monday with operating a business without a license, operating an unsafe dwelling and not having permits for work done on the site.
Officials boarded up the 1,500-square-foot home owned by Kamini that was divided into as many as eight units.

It was not so different back then. He almost got arrested for preforming miracles on the Sabbath.
In California, they say it was Governor Ronald Reagan that did that, ignoring the fact that there are homeless mentally ill people in most other states.
What the hell is an illegal homeless shelter? Someone who lets people sleep in his home, people who otherwise would sleep on the sidewalk?
Well you did better than me if you got 2-3 to turn their lives around.
Preach the Gospel, that is what we are commanded to do, do not try to meet everyone’s needs.
Help strengthen your brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Any able bodied Christian should support himself, don’t be fooled by imposters they use up your time and resources when you should be using them for other things.
I run a homeless shelter for my family. If we didn’t have our home, we’d be homeless! I hope my city’s code enforcement isn’t reading this.
How is a homeless shelter a business? Do the bums pay for their keep?
IIRC, that legislation was passed with a veto proof majority. Reagan wasn’t responsible for it.
