I once heard a great quote pertaining to these times, and it has stuck with me.
“We find ourselves in the weird place in history where it is too late to do anything about it, and too early to start shooting”
walking ... I understand that quotation is from Claire Wolfe and it goes something like this ...
“We find ourselves in that awkward time when it is too late to work within the system and too early to start shooting the bastards.”
That said, what a chilling article! It is true that only the tiniest of towns could set a defensive perimeter without having skunks inside the wire. And there is no “wilderness” to escape to and set up a new order. Creepy stuff.
Yup,
That quote is rib sticking.
“too late to do anything about it, and too early to start shooting
I agree with a heavy heart. We all know that this is going to get worse before it gets better.
We WILL be living in Ghettos, walled off from the world. We will be in forced labor, or simply locked up before we wake up.
And success has come from this before - so don’t get depressed.
But if a few men can lash out - if just a few people can demonstrate effective resistance that actually works - then the rest will come about fast.
We are blessed now. We have technology. I don’t need to assemble an army to keep invaders out of my town anymore. I need a laptop and access to a network. Basically, “Send an email telling troops to roll out”
The new war is a war of data and programs. And by that I mean statistics and instructions. Those are two things that are very easy to fight. Mess up their data so that commanders will be too afraid to move on otherwise and previously actionable intel, and then when they do drop an instruction in the action that screws the whole thing up.
All of this shit is computerized. Don’t need a bullet or to even be present in the battlefield to work with that.
