All seven victims in the Silver Spring explosion are now accounted for, while the intense investigation into the deadly blast that destroyed an apartment building kicks into high gear.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the explosion at the apartment complex. Investigators have been on scene since last week. Seven bodies have since been recovered from the rubble. Police believe, unfortunately, some of those may belong to people still reported missing.
Recovery and rescue efforts continue in Silver Spring. A week later, the rubble and debris is as prominent as ever in the deadly fire and explosion that shook the community’s foundation and core.
One mother tells WJZ she attempted to help another mother escape as the fire began to take its toll on the building, but it was too late.
Seven bodies have now been recovered from the remnants of the building. Many are still reported missing, including two children.
The cause of the explosion has not been released, nor have the identities of the victims. Many residents suspect a gas leak is to blame.
“We were always complaining, but they never take it really seriously,” one resident said.

I can see the NTSB investigating a mobile home explosion, but an apartment?
Maybe it was a train, this does not make sense.

yes, they are likely involved, but they are not being cited... that would give up the “secret” that we just experienced a “workplace accident”, that was “M” related... (as in “Muslims in an apartment building” not “Meth being monetized” context.)
Baltimore was “traumatized” with the bombers at the marathon... don’t want to let the locals think that the “terrorist” dimension is not under control, or that the “Junior Varsity” team has hundreds of sleepers yet to be “awakened” to wreak havoc on the city and its environs.
Obama will NOT allow any “terrorist” activity to come to light to the degree that it within his power... right?
Boston. Not yet as bad as Baltimore.

I live here. 3/4 of a building disappeared in seconds. If a bus has this capability, I or my love ones will never set foot in one again!!!
Which agency does meth labs that go boom?

the ntsb has no jurisdiction here. it is not a transportation accident.
