Heres one more group millennials are ignoring as they spend time glued to their smartphones airline personnel.
About 61% of millennials admitted to hiding behind electronic devices in order to avoid interacting with airline staff, according to a survey market-research firm Mintel conducted among 2,000 adults. Beyond millennials, less than half of Generation X those born roughly between 1965 and 1980 say they avoid airline personnel, and less than 37% of baby boomers said so. Automated technology is increasingly replacing people for cost-savings and convenience, and few travelers still value the human touch in the process.

I knoweth of valve troubles some myself.
The venerable 65 has some flaky action with #1 valve but I can live with it. At most it’s a slight miss.
The other one will need a reman engine and that will be shop job.
I’m at the point with everything here, especially some nagging health problems where I will buy the parts and when I can write the check, pay a pro unless it is something low level.
I was taken aback at the difficulty he had with clutch/throttle coordination. He’s a coordinated guy. All I can figure is that a decade of video game car shifting locked in his brain as THE way to drive a stick. He was OK after a while. Clutch plate survived.
When I was in college, 50 years ago, I made a clock that ran backward (I reversed the magnetic damper on the motor). I also made a wooden box for it, with no markings on the dial. So, it had no numbers, and also ran backward. It was the only clock I used in my room.
I assumed it was simply that career flight attendants aged in their jobs, just like the rest of us.

How is asking people not to be dickheads to waiters a liberal stance? Class shows.
I had to teach myself how to drive a stick.
When I was 18, I was left to take a friend’s car back to his house after he left for a trip, not realizing it was a stick until he had left and I was all by myself with the car.
Luckily, I had a quiet residential neighborhood to practice in. It took me about 10 minutes of trial and error to get it together, clutch and accelerator and shifter, and I never had a problem since, and that was 1973................
Clothes make the man....................
LOL! Good thing he said that back in 1991 while we still had a first amendment. Today, he would probably be dismissed from his job and charged with a hate crime for using the f— word.
Sticking your nose in a book at age 60, because you are on your first every flight and hate heights! Hubby had to explain each noise the plane made, didn’t help we had an ER divert, and turbulence.
Steve Martin is great, but he is so much better when he plays the straight man.
What she learned at the interview was that airlines actually prefer gays and for reasons you wouldnt believe.
...
The travel industry is dominated by gays. I know of one lawsuit where an airline was sued for discrimination against hetero employees. The heteros won.
Indeed they do. If you look and act like a bum that is how you will be treated.
Had one (MILL)yesterday saying that all Baby Boomers were Socialists because they collect SS and Medicare. Also the cause of all his problems. He had worked for the Gov, could not get a job, never learned a trade, it was evident he had never taken any hard sciences..It was all the BBrs fault..
Congrats for the stupidist post I have seen at FR in while. You are a jackass! Go ahead and behave like a jackass with the hired help BUT why say this here? So you are a double jackass.
I bring a book. Partly because I’m anti-social, and partly because one should always be in the middle of a book and have it around for when nothing is happening.
I stand by the truth.
I learned before, Synchros.
Double clutching, anyone? ;^}
what happens when the “in air women” can be replaced with pretty female androids?
