There are currently 147 reception centres across France, but these are in massive demand as desperate refugees continue to flee the Middle East.
Housing minister Emmanuelle Cosse has pledged to built a further 50 centres before the end of next month in a desperate bid to ease the crisis.
But she has also called on French people to open up their homes to migrants in need. Several organisations have already promised to help.
The group Singa has helped 300 migrants find a temporary home since it launched its 'Calm' scheme last June.
Singa co-director Alice Barbe said: "We match people according to where they live, their job, their hobbies, and the languages they speak.
"If things work out, the migrant will remain in the person's home for a minimum of two weeks, and for up to nine months."

Make sure that you are aware of what is happening in Europe with the “immigrants”,a/k/a, muslims. If Hillary manages to get in the White House, within less than 6 months, the same thing will be happening over here.
French Jewish citizens actually had a fairly high survival rate during the Holocaust. The French to the best of their ability tried to treat them as any other French citizen.
The problem was over the years a lot of Jews had fled to France from other European countries, and Vichy was more than happy to let the Germans take the "stateless" Jews off of their hands.

I know this is pretty radical, but has anyone suggested that maybe France and other places like Sweden stop letting immigrants in, especially when they’re being killed by them and have no place for the little dears to live. It’s just a suggestion.
The French have always held on to their cultural identity. Either they are too arrogant to see they’re losing it or they’re in denial.
The “Reconquista” of our southwest is going to evolve into what’s happening in Europe. The jihadists and radical groups like La Raza and the Mexican drug cartels are going to cause massive trouble.

I heard yesterday that I think Sweden is seizing people’s vacation homes to house refugees because these poooooor immigrants don’t “like” their housing.
I read the British papers every morning. One story was that a refugee center in Germany didn’t get their morning wake up alarm the first day of ramadan so they burnt the place down!!!!
The question is how in the hell did the Europeans drop their I.Q. 40 points in just a few decades!! (Unfortunately I think we are about to find out.)
