We still get the calls from “Microsoft Security Center” with some Hindu/Pakistani twerp trying to access our machines. I looked up Hindi insults and told the last guy his mother had dried lizard eggs in her butt hair (in Hindi). He hung up on me.
All I get is calls from Frank in India wanting to sell me some Windows license
Since it’s a business, you’re probably too busy to keep these kind of crooks on the line chatting aimlessly. As a retiree, I’ve had fun with a few of them.
No but we get loads from the tax people saying give us 100 itune cards to pay your bill or we’ll take you to court , LOL, the last guy got a taste of a very loud sports whistle ,he’ll have trouble with that ear I think
Scam
Do not answer the phone as they WILL sell your number as “active” to other scammers and the cycle never ends.
If you don’t recognize the caller, don’t answer.
If it is important they will leave a message.
Send $99 for more information. Do it now and we’ll remove your coordinates from our little drone.
When it started becoming personal, such as if you had ever worn briefs or boxers, I immediately became suspicious as to how he knew you never wore either and preferred going commando.........
That was a strange call.
Type the phone number into your search engine (I use Bing) using format ###-###-####. In the results look for 800notes or Mr. Number websites & the comments will tell you what other people have experienced with the number & what the scam is. We use a call blocker because the cr@p scam calls are so bad.
Isn’t that the outfit that puts the colored stickers on mailboxes?
Isn’t caller ID great? I seldom answer phone if the caller is unknown to me.
easy peasy
No calls, but weirdness in real life.
I caught the Google Maps street view lady on my dead end street a few years ago. Went out and asked her what’s up with the camera thingy on top of the tiny subcompact car.
Told her I didn’t want my house photographed and on the internet; she said ok, she wouldn’t, but did it anyway.
Few years later, I got a mailer from the intrusive American Community Survey, put out by the Census Department. I refused to answer and return mail it; then I began getting harassing personal visits.
It was the SAME WOMAN as the Google streets lady!
Google “Keyhole, Inc.”
Google Earth started out as a government mapping project, funded by the CIA. Intelligence gathering on private citizens has been Google’s mission from its inception.
If they call me they will answer MY questions or get the handy airhorn. I DO hope.they’re wearing headphones or good earbuds!
Sounds like Nigerians or Russian mafia.
